Resource Efficiency Workshop & Best Practice Visit to Canyon Europe
A Best Practice Visit and a Resource Efficiency Work-shop will be held at Canyon Europe on Thursday 27th August 2009 from 09:00am to 13:30pm.
This event will high-light new opportunities to reduce, reuse and recycle resources within your organisa-tion. The workshop, facilitated by NISP, will enable companies to realise cost savings and create new busi-ness opportunities. The event will be hosted at Canyon Europe who are a leading company specialising in the design and manufacture of high quality and innovative trigger sprayers and dispensers. Canyon is a global company, trading in over 50 markets around the world. The company has state of the art manufacturing facilities in North-ern Ireland, Japan and Vietnam.
Established in 1988 as the Euro-pean subsidiary of the Japanese Canyon Corporation, over the last three years the company has invested approximately £11 mil-lion pounds in advanced injection moulding equipment and auto-mated assembly machines. Innovation is a key driver for Canyon Europe and has led to the establishment of a state of the art Centre of Excellence to provide tailored solutions and develop new products in response to market needs. This is an excellent opportunity to visit a global company delivering manufacturing excellence.
The best practice visit in Canyon Europe will high-light the successes of the company’s waste minimisation programme.
A range of industry experts will be contributing to the event in-cluding, Cherry Polymers and Waste End Strategy. Cherry Polymers will be presenting the new opportunities for polymer processors that have been cre-ated by up-grades in the recycling supply chain and new technological developments. Waste End Strategy will be highlighting innovative solu-tions in waste management.

All-Island Learning Network
Following on from the success of Phase 1, InterTradeIreland is delighted to announce Phase 2 of the All-Island Learning Network for the Polymer & Plastics Industry on the island of Ireland. Delivered by First Polymer Training on behalf of InterTradeIreland, each module will provide technical training to polymer companies based in Northern Ireland.
